Terms of service

Vocal4Locals is a directory of local businesses. Customers search for a trade, see which listings have been verified, and request a business’s phone number in order to contact that business directly.

Vocal4Locals is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a business. We do not perform the work, quote for it, set its price, take payment for it, or supervise it. Any contract for work is between you and the business you contacted.

• You must be 18 or older.
• To list a business, you must be its owner or be authorised to act for it.
• You must give accurate information and keep it accurate.

Accounts are created with a mobile number and a one-time password. You are responsible for anything done through your account and for keeping access to that number secure. Tell us promptly if you believe somebody else has access to it.

• Some listings were created by us from publicly available information and have not been claimed. Every listing states clearly whether it is unclaimed, claimed or verified.
• If a listing is yours, you may claim it, correct it, or ask for it to be removed.
• You are responsible for what you publish on your listing, including photographs, and you must have the right to publish it.
• You must not publish anything unlawful, misleading, offensive, or that infringes somebody else’s rights, and you must not impersonate another business.
• We may edit or remove a listing that breaks these terms, and will tell the listing owner why where we can.

Verification is optional and free. It means a person here has read identity and business documents and found that they match the listing. It is a check of IDENTITY only.

• It is not a warranty about the quality, safety, timeliness or price of any work.
• It is not a statement that a business is licensed, insured or qualified for any particular job.
• It is not a recommendation, and it cannot be bought.

Listing a business is intended to be a paid subscription. No price has been set and no payment has been taken from anybody. When a price is set it will be published on the pricing page before it appears on any invoice, and every listed business will be told before being charged.

• When subscriptions begin, payments will be processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store card details.
• We take no commission on any work you win, and no fee per lead.
• Prices, when set, will be inclusive or exclusive of taxes as stated at the point of purchase.
• Cancellation and refunds are governed by the refund and cancellation policy.

• Do not scrape, copy or republish the directory in bulk.
• Do not use contact details obtained here to send unsolicited marketing.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the service, its security, or other people’s accounts.
• Do not submit false reviews or manipulate ratings.

The site, its design and its text belong to Vocal4Locals. Content you upload remains yours; by uploading it you give us the licence we need to display it in the directory and to promote the directory, which you can end by removing the content or your listing.

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that a listing will produce any particular amount of business, or that any business listed will be suitable for your purpose. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any business listed, nor for any work they carry out.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or breach the law.

Complaints go to our Grievance Officer through the contact page. The Grievance Officer’s name and contact details will be published on this page and on the contact page before the product takes its first payment. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.

We may change these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and account holders are told directly. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction.
