Where our location data comes from
The area, locality and landmark names on this site come from two open datasets. Both licences ask us to credit them, name the licence, link to it and say what we changed. This page does all four.
Areas and landmarks
Area and landmark names, and their coordinates, come from OpenStreetMap. © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) 1.0.
What we changed: we imported only the entries covering Ahmedabad and Surat, and we link some of them to our own city and pincode records. The names themselves are unedited.
Pincodes
Pincodes, and the locality names attached to them, come from the GeoNames postal-code data for India. © GeoNames, available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).

What we changed: we imported only the codes covering Ahmedabad and Surat, and where a locality name matched an area we linked the two. The codes and names themselves are unedited.
There is no map on this site
We use these datasets for names and distances only — to rank a search by how close a business is, and to say which area a listing is in. No map is drawn, no map tiles are served, and no mapping service is called.
